Concert hosts who have not previously shared in a service with Ed Hill invariably ask the questions: "What does your format consist of?" or "What is your service like?"

In response, prior to the question, Ed would like to explain how he conducts his services and concerts:

My father was a "called" preacher . . . I have been called to sing. I do not consider myself neither a preacher nor an evangelist. The best description I know, in regard to what I feel I have been called to be, is "an inspirational motivator and an encourager."

During my presentation, I share a full Christian music concert of Southern Gospel style repertoire. Each song is scripturally sound and is intended to bring the listener to a better knowledge of "who they are" and "what they are" in the family of God so that in the end they are equipped, encouraged and motivated to "victoriously continue to 'fight the good fight of faith' as they stand on The Word."

A large majority of the songs presented are those which have been signatory to my musical career.

As I feel impressed to do so, I interweave narratives of various points from my stage career with artists such as Elvis Presley, J.D. Sumner and the Stamps, The Singing Americans and The Prophets. In addition, I share various events from days gone by, in testimony to God's love, grace and provision as well as how He divinely brought me through my recent physical attacks of heart surgery and a mini-stroke, both from which I have been restored and once again—Praise the Lord, I am well and whole—just like God promised.

No narrative is presented in a manner to receive personal glory, but rather shared with the intent of giving "all the glory to the One who is worth of all praise."

In the closing portion of my allotted time, in an effort to bring the lost to a point of acceptance, I invariably express to my listeners that only in Jesus is their "New Life," "Abundant Life" and "Eternal Life." I assure them that the singular most important thing I have ever done in my life was the day I committed my life to Christ, and that without Him, I am nothing.

I always give the evening back to the hosts to close in any manner they see fit, and I stand ready to assist in any way they may desire.

I look forward to our time together.
